if Microsoft Office is installed, Scanpst.exe can be located in
'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Scanpst.exe'
However, Scanpst.exe has limited capability to repair corrupted and damaged PST files. It cannot repair oversized PST files exceeding more than 2 GB or if there is severe virus corruption. It is better to use powerful third party software to repair PST corruption.
